How do you present your CV?
Just the CV - a stapled photocopy, tri-folded in a normal envelope
A uniquely designed CV with graphics business card. The cover letter is produced on my home stationery

CV and cover letter in a folder on good quality paper followed up by a soft copy

With the words "Curriculum Vitae"

How much detail do you provide on your education, qualifications and training?
Everything in detail in chronological order
Only my highest qualification - everything else is redundant
My education and academic history in chronological order with training incorporated into the job history
A summary of my education and acadmic achievements with a later section on additional skills
 
How have you formatted your career history?
Full explanation of each job description throughout job history
Full details of you current role and organisation, with all previous roles simply listed by organisation and job title
For each role the job title and company name and a list of key achievements
For each role a organisational summary (scope & context) followed by an outline of the role and your top 3 achievements
 
How have you dealt with your hobbies and interests?
Excluded them, they're of no relevance to my working life
Embellished what I really do – I don’t want to sound like a saddo!
Given a full listing of all the things I enjoy
A concise list of how I spend my spare time, if they want more detail they can ask me at interview
 
How have you dealt with references?
Included testimonials with the CV
Given names and addresses of 2 business and 2 personal referees
No detail – its too early to provide this kind of detail
A statement saying that they would be provided upon request
 
How have your dealt with your salary expectations?
Excluded as a matter of principle, this can be covered more appropriately at interview
Included in the CV as "salary £negotiable"
Included at the bottom of the CV detailing all elements of the package you enjoy
Included in the cover letter where the advert has asked for this information otherwise excluded
